The closing date for the 2008 UK Stroke Forum call for abstracts is 27 August 2008.

Time has been allocated within the chosen parallel sessions for oral presentation of abstracts. There is also the opportunity to submit abstracts for poster display.

Following review by the Conference Scientific Committee all applicants will be notified by email by Friday 10 October 2008.  All successful authors need to pay for and register their place as delegates but will qualify for the relevant early bird rate which will be honoured if registering after the early bird deadline.

Authors selected to give an oral presentation are allocated a 10 minute slot in which to present their paper, plus 5 minutes for questions. Authors are asked to arrive at least an hour before the beginning of the session they are presenting in and to provide an electronic copy of their presentation to the technicians in the Speakers Room. 

Authors invited to present a poster are asked to display their work for one day of the conference. Poster sessions will be themed and authors are asked to be by their posters during these times to take questions from delegates. Poster display boards supplied by the conference venue are landscape, measuring 2m x 1m. Typically poster presenters produce A1 posters for display.
