The ARNI Trust
![]()
Action For Rehabilitation From Neurological Injury (ARNI) is a national charity started in 2001 by a stroke survivor. ARNI supports the work of the hospitals once the work of therapists is no longer available, for whatever reason.
We assist stroke survivors to tackle residual limitations, as far as possible, by matching them to our instructors around the UK. By receiving regular training and monitoring, stroke survivors function better and with more confidence in the community.
All of our instructors are specialist exercise trainers with an interest in stroke who go through the ARNI Functional Training after Stroke Accreditation (Middlesex University and the Royal Society of Medicine). This course guides instructors who are learning to teach action control to stroke survivors.
Instructors are able to reach individuals in their own homes and give them the means to self-rehabilitate via the teaching of a raft of techniques based around intensive task-related practice and the development of more physical strength and coping strategies.
